SOPHIE ECCLES
FOUNDER & PERFORMER
Sophie is the creator of Once Upon a Time Parties. She is a musical theatre graduate from London Studio Centre UK. Sophie moved back home to Dublin in 2020 and put her heart and soul into creating Once Upon a Time Parties. She enjoys singing, dancing and acting and adores working with kids. During her time in college, Sophie played many diverse roles such as “Cinderella” in “into The Woods” New Wimbledon Theatre. “Rose” in the play “Di & Viv & Rose” Arts depot, and “Martha” In the musical “Heathers” Arts Depot.
Sophie loves seeing the look on little kids faces as the magic unfolds before their eyes. Her creative, bubbly, caring personality allows her to dream bigger and laugh louder, creating a fun, organised, magical party experience for everyone to enjoy.
LEIA MURPHY
PERFORMER
Leia is a musical theatre performer, actress and singer based in Dublin. She made her professional theatre debut playing Blousey in ‘Bugsy Malone’ with Festival Productions in the National Concert Hall (NCH) in 2016. Since then Leia has played many other roles in the NCH including Dorothy in ‘The Wizard of Oz’ and Bet in ‘Oliver!’. She also played Elle Woods in the sold out production of ‘Legally Blonde’ for St. Joseph’s College, Lucan. Leia is also a semi-regular actor in RTE’s ‘Fair City’ playing the role of troublemaker Vinny Doherty and is currently studying at the Gaiety School of Acting. Leia recently received the Outstanding Achievement for a Young Actress Award from LA Indie Short Fest for her lead role of Aisling in short film ‘The Yellow Dress’. Leia loves working with children as well as performing and is delighted to combine these passions in her work with ‘Once Upon a Time Parties’
LARA DEVITT
PERFORMER
Lara is an 18-year-old musical theatre performer from Dublin. Lara began singing with NCH Cór Linn in 2016 and regularly performed on National TV, European radio and alongside prominent Irish musicians such as Paul Carrack, Finbar Furey and Gavin James. Lara is a member of the Independent Theatre Workshop and has played many leading roles in their productions such as “Jo” in “Little Women”, “ Beverley Bass” in “Come From Away” and “Alyssa” in “The Prom”. She also played the role of “Paulette” in her school musical “Legally Blonde”. Lara was lucky to be cast in the featured ensemble of Irish Youth Musical Theatre’s production of Evita in Concert and performed alongside Rebecca Storm. Lara loves to put big smiles on little faces and is excited to bring magic to life with Once Upon a Parties!
AIMEE O'NEILL
PERFORMER
Aimee is currently studying Science in UCD. She has studied musical theatre from a very young age and has played many leading roles such as Elle Woods in “Legally Blonde” on multiple occasions, Sister Mary Robert in “Sister Act” and Ivy in “Bare”. In her college musical society she has vocal directed a production of “Into the Woods” which went on to come second for Best Overall Show in the Gilbert section of the AIMS Awards 2023. She received a distinction in her Associate Diploma exam in Musical Theatre with IBSD. She works part time as a singing and dancing teacher in Encore! School of Performing Arts, and loves this role. She can’t wait to meet all your Prince and princesses and make their day as magical as it can be!
HARRY KINGSLAND
PERFORMER
Harry is a music student from Galway, studying at Maynooth University. He is a cellist with over 15 years performing experience having played all over Ireland and the UK, and in 2019 won the award for ‘most promising string musician in Ireland’. Harry loves to sing and act, and he has an avid interest in musical theatre having played major roles in many productions by Maynooth University Musical Society, including 'Danny' in Grease, 'Kurt' in Heathers, and 'Nick' in The Prom.
With hopes of being a music teacher in the future, Harry loves working with kids, and the best part of this job is getting to see the pure excitement and true belief in their eyes as my fellow performers and I greet them.
CLARICE MAKAREVITCH
PERFORMER
Clarice is bright, positive, hard working and has always dreamed of being a
Princess! She has been singing, dancing, acting, performing since she was 3 years old.
Clarice has played leading roles in many musicals such as Dorothy in the Wizard of Oz, Elle
Woods in Legally Blonde, Janis Ian in Mean Girls and Diane in Come From Away. Clarice
has experience teaching and interacting with children from 3-18 years old through teaching at
the Independent Theatre Workshop.
ALBA WALSH SUBIRAN
PERFORMER
Alba Studied Physiotherapy in Trinity College Dublin. She has been part of a choir her entire life and joined a Musical Theatre Society in college and her love for the Arts grew from there. Since then Alba has been part of many stage productions, online musicals and loves attending workshops to broaden her knowledge of all things Musical Theatre.
ELLIE MAGENNIS
PERFORMER
Ellie has been performing since the young age of 4 in The O’Hanlon theatre school. Here She completed grade 1 and 2 of tap and ballet. She then went on to dance competitively where She took part in many competitions around Ireland such as 5678, Twilight and Destination Dance. She has had the chance to play some fantastic roles such as Fantine in Les Miserables, Lady Capulet in Romeo and Juliet and Sharpay Evans in High School Musical. From 2019-2020, She was a teacher assistant in The O’Hanlon Theatre school where She taught children from the ages of 5-12, here She taught acrobatics, lyrical, tap, jazz and ballet. She absolutely adore performing and working with children and is so excited to combine these passions with Once Upon a time Parties!
RACHEL GAUGHAN
PERFORMER
Rachel is a 22-year-old performer from County Mayo. She is a graduate of NUI Galway and holds a BA in Children's Studies with Psychology. She has a passion for working with children, having worked with the youth development organisation 'Foróige', as well as written and starred in theatre productions for a child audience. She is currently pursuing an AFA in Musical Theatre at American College Dublin. She loves to sing, dance and meet other little Princes and Princesses!
EMMA WILLIAMS
PERFORMER
Emma Williams is a performer, singer, actress and artist studying vocals through commercial modern music at BIMM Dublin. Emma has experience in musical theatre portraying roles such as Ariel in ‘the Little Mermaid’ at the Helix and Isir in ‘Aladdin’. Some other roles include Charlotte in Sean Gilligan’s ‘Oliver!’, Marty in ‘Grease’, Vivienne in ‘Legally Blonde’ and an ensemble member of ‘CATS’. She has also achieved a grade 7 in piano at the Royal Irish Academy of Music, has performed as a choir soprano in the National Concert Hall and was a member of the creative team developing the brand new musical ‘What About Us’.
Emma loves all things Disney, has a passion for performing, working with kids and bringing magic and imagination to life!
BETH STRAHAN
PERFORMER
Beth is a final year Drama and Theatre Studies student at Trinity College Dublin from Belfast, and has worked at Once Upon A Time Parties since September 2021. Beth’s Musical Theatre background extends to 2012, when she took part in her first musical as a member of the ensemble in Honk! The Musical. Since then, Beth has taken on leading roles such as ‘Roxie Hart’ in Chicago, and ‘Cinderella’ in Into the Woods. Beth’s favourite character to perform for OUATP is Anna, as it is no doubt that the Frozen characters are a hit with the excited boys and girls at every party.
